As the CEO and founder, I guess you could say that Scott is the visionary for the firm. His role is to lead and manage the team, connect our clients with best in class resources, and help our business owners and their companies accomplish their most important objectives around the services we offer them. Sometimes his role is connector, sometimes quarterback, sometimes counselor, sometimes motivator, sometimes listener, sometimes problem solver, always advocate and advisor for awesome people and their companies.
Continuous Learning is something that Scott values highly. This passion to stay at the top of his craft led Scott to acquire multiple professional designations over the years: Certified Business Exit
Consultant (CBEC®), Certified Value Builder™ (CVB™), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®),
Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Accredited Estate
As the youngest of six kids, he learned early in life the importance of being on a team and doing your part. Coming from a small town in NW Iowa, Scott learned about community and giving back and
taking care of others. He was always involved in multiple things and played four sports in high
school. He was a football walk on at UNI and was a back up to Kurt Warner. When the NFL didn't
come calling, and his dad was ready to retire as soon as he graduated, he figured that he better get
some internship experience, so Scott started in the financial business as a junior in college (way back in 1996). He has been lucky in his career to have a great mentor and many that have helped him
personally and professionally.
Scott married his high school sweetheart, Meg, after graduating with a business degree from the
University of Northern Iowa. They live in Cedar Falls, IA with their daughter Taylor, and son
Ben. They don't have any pets (they call their hot tub their pet), and Scott LOVES to play golf. In addition to golf and watching other sports, Scott likes to travel, watch their kids grow and compete, meet new people and solve big problems for clients.
